Our packaging
We at Care of Carl communicate The Classics of Tomorrow ? a curated selection of premium and luxury brands, as relevant today as tomorrow. By looking at style from a long-term perspective, a more sustainable way of building men?s wardrobe is encouraged. We want to make it easier to choose and do the right thing. Therefore, since the beginning, we have tried to guide our customers to both invest in the correct garments and offer useful guides to help you protect your investments. We also want to help you to properly take care of the packaging that protects your investments, of which we have pieced together a guide below.
STANDARD PACKAGING
As standard, we now offer 100% recyclable, plastic-free packaging made from partially recycled material, as part of encouraging more sustainable purchases. We try to minimise material consumption without compromising on the protection of your ordered goods. The packaging is also FSC-labelled, which means that the material originates from responsible forestry that considers the environment. We have also removed plastic filling material, such as bubble wrap, and replaced it with a recycled paper material that is both perceived as more solid and can be biodegraded faster by nature if, against the odds, it wouldn’t be recycled correctly.
Paper bags: Our paper bags are made from Swedish forests, in Swedish factories. 100% recyclable and can be sorted with recycled paper.
Boxes: Our Care of Carl boxes are made from unpainted/unvarnished corrugated cardboard with minimal print and tape usage. 100% recyclable and can be sorted with corrugated cardboard.
Filling: Our filling material is there to protect your ordered goods and is made from 100% recycled cardboard material. 100% recyclable and can be sorted with recycled paper.
Paper bags: Our paper bags are made from Swedish forests, in Swedish factories. 100% recyclable and can be sorted with recycled paper.

PREMIUM PACKAGING
A premium option for a more exclusive experience, or packages ordered to be used as gifts. Your garments will arrive wrapped, presented in a hard cardboard box. If you remove the magnets that fasten the box and sort them separately, the entirety of the packaging is recyclable. Tip! If you want to extend the life of your packaging, the stylish box is perfect to upcycle and use for storage. Given that our premium packaging contains a couple of different components, the sorting requires a little more thought than the standard options.
Inner box: Made of cardboard, sorted as cardboard with a high percentage of recyclability. Att. take out the magnets and sort separately as metal at a recycling centre.
Outer packaging: Same box as the standard packaging, see above.
Ribbon: The ribbon gives an extra finish and is provided to make it easier for you to get your box out of the outer packaging, as we strive to minimize redundant packaging space. Is made of polyester and is sorted as household waste, or can be reused where you need a sturdy quality ribbon, for example arranging cut flowers.
Tissue paper: The packaging used to protect your garments inside the box is made of paper and is sorted among newspapers and recycled paper.
Inner box: Made of cardboard, sorted as cardboard with a high percentage of recyclability. Att. take out the magnets and sort separately as metal at a recycling centre.
Outer packaging: Same box as the standard packaging, see above.

OTHER
Thank you cards: Our thank you cards are made from paper. They are 100% recyclable and can be sorted with recycled paper.
Folder: Our folders that contain all paper such as return label and delivery slip are made of paper. They are 100% recyclable and can be sorted with recycled paper.
Plastic bags from our suppliers: The majority of our garments are delivered in a plastic bag from the suppliers to further protect the item during transport. Here which plastic is used, but usually the plastic can be sorted among plastic packaging.
